If you’d like to participate in our open programs, please keep a lookout for announcements on our program page, facebook or twitter. You can apply for the next program by providing the necessary details on the program application page.
The program is also conducted in partnership with colleges, universities, and corporates. For partnerships, we advise you to reach out to your college administration or social wing or write to us.
The program is designed as a mix of theory and experiential service learning. They would be a combination of an online touch-point once during the week and a physical meetup once every weekend.
Theory is approached through contextual discussions and can be furthered through the readings/materials provided. The program participants and facilitator meet every Wednesday over the course of the program through an online webinar, to learn new creative leadership tools and techniques.
Service learning would include elements of community service, immersions in various social contexts around the community and close involvement with dynamic change makers.
We work with youthful people who care about their responsibilities (or want to) as an active citizen and strive to co-create a better community around them. Participants are short-listed on the basis of their answers to this short application form.
Eligibility
Program contribution is Rs. 1000/- for students and Rs. 5000/- for working professionals.
Scholarships are available for deserving candidates.
However, should you want to pay more, the excess contribution will be kept aside in a pool of commoners fund to support those who can’t contribute at the moment.
Filling up the application form doesn’t guarantee your admission. We don’t reject applicants however we believe there are certain elements that make you a good fit for the journey.
After confirmation from the UoC team, applicants will be shared with the account number and UPI address where you can pay to confirm your onboarding.
The journey is a combination of field immersion, practice and conversations (sometimes watching movies together) spread over eight weeks, and you need not travel far away from where you currently are.
We have designed the program keeping in mind availability of time & travel constraints of participants. You need not travel to city outskirts or villages (though we advise sometimes) to understand the fabric of our civil society. There are challenges around you and the program makes the most sense when practiced in exploring local challenges.
